Clogher Valley In Good Form

Last Sunday the return match of the Conway Cup took place at Clogher Valley Golf Club with Omagh GC the visiting team. A super match played by all; the back nine was very tight. A great second shot by Peter McGirr with a sand wedge over the hedge to land on the green put Clogher Valley in a good spot on the last hole. It was Peter’s putt that secured their first win over 18 holes. The rest of the players didn’t know what way the match was going, until Team Captain Tony Fee called the last group in off the 15th hole. Great excitement when the result was revealed!  Clogher Valley 10.5  Omagh 5.5. Congratulations to team Captain and the players.

This weekend sees our Gents playing for Lady Captain Carmel Rooney’s Prize in her Captains Day. Lady Captain Carmel has decided to have a prize for any of the gents who hit a ‘Hole in One’ so gents polish up your tee off and try for this prize. All monies for this will be donated to Cancer Connect. Time sheet for Friday 27th, Saturday 28th and Sunday 29th June in operation.

Keep free this Thursday 26th June as there will be a Committee Meeting in Clubhouse at 8.00 p.m. sharp; all those on the Council please attend.

Friday 27th June Lawson Cup will be completed. Clogher Valley v Castlehume. Previous Match had to be abandoned on Sunday 8th June due to heavy rain, thunder and lightening. This takes place at 5.00 p.m. at Clogher Valley Golf Club.
