Next weekend’s Competition is the Fee Engineering Club Stableford.  28th, 29th& 30th July…

Prize Night on Saturday 29th at 9pm sharp.  We had hoped to have a BBQ on this prize night but unfortunately this must be rescheduled.

Members involved in the club tournaments should get their matches played asap.

Captains Draw tickets have been issued and can be purchased through Victor or any of our Committee members.  Proceeds in aid of Local Dementia Care and our Course Irrigation System, which is now well under way.

Please remember to use the time sheets so you can be guaranteed tee times. Members in the habit of a particular start time are urged to use the time sheets or give way to those who have. Basically, the course is increasingly getting busier and we want to accommodate everyone.

Facilitating Fun continues every Monday from 10am. Young and old (and in between) are welcome. No charge.

May & June Prize Giving Evenings

Some photos of our Sponsors and Prize Winners for May & June Competitions.

It’s good to see so many members taking part in competitions and supporting our Prize Giving Evenings. We are also hugely grateful to our generous sponsors year on year for their support – without them we couldn’t run our full fixtures list each month.

The Club presented Eugene Meehan, from the local branch of Cancer Research, with a cheque for £130. We were delighted that other members of the Cancer Research Committee were able to join us on the evening. Thanks to the generosity of Charlie Keys, who donated a bottle of brandy, a further £160 was raised on the night through the sale of raffle tickets.

Don’t forget our next Competition over the weekend of 7th to 9th July, is the CLOGHER VALLEY CREDIT UNION 18 HOLE STROKE

CarZone NI, Irvinestown – Car for a ‘hole in one’

Another year and still no winners for our Lady Captain’s ‘hole in one’ competition. We are greatly indebted to Gerry McNamee who very generously sponsors this fabulous prize, year after year.

So make a date in your diaries Ladies – Clogher Valley Golf Club Lady Captain’s Open Day 2018 ….. maybe it will be 5th year lucky.

(There were some dire threats of chain saws being needed on the wee dunt – so Raymond & Strokey, you had better keep a close eye!!)

Donation to Cancer Connect

(Lady Captain Hazel presenting Breda from Cancer Connect with a donation.)

In lieu of gifts, Lady Captain Hazel requested that donations be given to Cancer Connect NI. Entry fees for the ‘hole in one’ competition were also donated to this very worthwhile local charity.

Breda McGrenaghan spoke about the facilities and services Cancer Connect provides in their Enniskillen centre – see the Cancer Connect NI website for details
