President’s Day Winners & Prize Giving

President Peter Bogue held his very successful and greatly enjoyable President’s Day at Clogher Valley Golf Club on Saturday, 1st September 2018. Invited guests enjoyed refreshments in Rusks Restaurant before teeing off in fine weather. The course was in superb condition thanks to the efforts of Raymond, Strokey and the many Club members who helped prepare for the day. There were certainly some challenges along the way with a tricky choice of pin positions on a couple of holes but superb scores were returned none-the-less by the Gents & Ladies Winners. President Peter, ably assisted by his wife Bernie and daughters Karen and Ciara served refreshments ‘on the turn’ and the wonderful hospitality continued into the evening with a delicious meal served in Rusks Restaurant for guests, family and friends. President Peter asked for donations in lieu of gifts and wishes to express his sincere gratitude to all who gave so generously. To date £1,400 has been collected for a ‘companion dog’ for a young girl with Autism in the local area. The Prize Table was packed with a wide range of prizes for both Ladies and Gents. Many congratulations to Brian Armstrong and Betty Monaghan who took the 1st place honours in the Gents and Ladies categories, along with all the prize winners, as follows:-
