CVGC Open to Members | Return to Golf – 1st April 2021

As members are probably now aware golf is due to resume on April 1st.  Note that only CVGC Members are allowed to play in this phase.

This means that your Membership Fees MUST be fully paid (or alternative payment arrangements made) BEFORE PLAYING GOLF.

From April 1st the NI Executive have stated that groups playing golf eg 2 balls, 3 balls or 4 balls, must be from NO MORE than 2 households.

Tee times MUST be booked in advance online or over the telephone. This is a requirement to assist with contact tracing should the need arise.
There are NO exceptions to these rules.

For full details, see the ‘Return to Golf Protocol document‘ as published on website and their handy guide below.

We look forward to seeing you all on the course, at Clogher Valley Golf Club, very soon.

Captain vs President – Sunday, 11 October 2020

33 members took part in our annual Captain vs President Competition on a beautiful autumn day. Our 2020 Golfing Season started with much uncertainty so it was great to mark the end of the season with optimism and a very enjoyable day (albeit with face masks and social distancing paramount!).

Captain Eugene’s Team took the honours this year with a 9 point win over President Mervyn. We look forward to both Gents continuing in their roles in 2021, along with our Lady Captain Henrietta.
